šŸŒŸ ICYMI šŸŒŸ

This year, I made a significant amount of money, more than Iā€™ve ever seen in my entire life. But hereā€™s the kickerā€¦I was already living the exact lifestyle (from travel to social) as I do now, even when I had literally no money. How? Simply by incorporating these 18 habits in my lifeā€¦

Let me know what you think in the comments for a chance to win a $100+ giveaway of beauty and wellness products!

As always, if you prefer audio, you can find it on Spotify or Apple Podcasts!

P.S. Most of these habits are inspired by my ā€˜20 Ridiculous Habits I Stole from Silicon Valley Entrepreneursā€™ series on Instagram. However, this goes deeper into how I actually incorporated them, how they transformed my life, and the tactical steps you can take to adopt them tomorrow.

4 Life-Changing Lessons from 4 Consecutive Summers in NYC

  1. Money Can Buy Happiness (Up to a Certain Point)
Each year, I slightly upgraded my living situation, and eventually, I no longer felt the downsides of the cityā€”excessive trash, rats, bugs, or the burden of lugging heavy items. With these upgrades, my quality of life improved, showing that money can indeed buy happiness, but only to a certain extent.

  2. You Canā€™t Find Success Unless You Find Your Playground
This year, I tripled my followingā€”a major goal of mineā€”because I allowed myself to play. As a city girl, NYC in the summer became my playground. It wasnā€™t until I embraced the inner child in me and indulged in that playful energy that I found my spark and finally mastered my art.

  3. Professional and Personal Friendships Come from Different Sources but Are Equally Critical
Itā€™s essential to seek both types of relationships, as they often come from different people. After quitting my job, I over-indexed on the ā€œnetworking hustleā€ and expected professional relationships to fulfill my social needs. That was disappointing. I realized how important it is to invest in ā€œfun friends,ā€ even if their work and life values differ from mine.

  4. Love Something Enough to Let It Go
Iā€™ve experienced my greatest successes with money, creativity, and relationships when I became deeply obsessed. NYC is a profound obsession for me, and it has been the backdrop for some of my most transformational experiences and achievements. However, like anything amazing, it can become a double-edged sword. Sometimes, I get so caught up in it that it starts to become a distraction. Learn to channel your obsession into incredible work, and then let it go, so you can return to it with renewed energy.

Happy end of summer ā˜€ļø
