for Tech & Media
📉 Resumes Are Dead
Your internet footprint is your new portfolio. Traditional resumes are becoming obsolete as companies shift to evaluating candidates based on their online presence, thought leadership, and measurable impact. A strong digital footprint—via LinkedIn, personal blogs, or social proof of your accomplishments—will carry much more weight than a polished PDF.
🤖 All Job Interviews Will Change
Knowing how to use AI effectively will become a baseline requirement for all jobs. Interviewers will test your ability to integrate tools like ChatGPT, MidJourney, or industry-specific AI platforms into workflows, making AI proficiency the new Microsoft Word.
🎓 50% of New Grads Will Choose Entrepreneurship Over Corporate Jobs
Rapid advancement of AI is reducing the need for entry-level employees, making traditional jobs harder to secure. On the other hand, the barriers to starting a business are decreasing thanks to user-friendly tech tools and social media. Building a small business has never been easier and offers far more autonomy and earning potential than a traditional job and college grads are realizing that.
🛠️ The Line Between B2B and B2C Is Blurring
With entrepreneurship rising, 1 in 2 people will have their own business—whether full-time or a side hustle. Enterprise software must adapt, offering pricing tiers for individuals or micro-teams. This growing market of small-scale entrepreneurs demands accessible tools and services, forcing even B2B companies to adopt B2C marketing and branding strategies to speak to their new audience.
📱 Goodbye Websites and Logos
Social media profiles are the new websites. They are much easier to discover and more often visited in our mobile-first world. Logos will no longer define brand identity—faces will. Every brand will need a recognizable “face” with a “story”—someone who embodies their mission and connects directly with audiences to represent the company.
🤝 Micro-Acquisitions of Influencers Will Become Common
Now that all companies need a “face” to represent their brand, we will see large companies increasingly acquire micro-influencers as in-house ambassadors, creating new opportunities for creators to achieve big payouts or exits similar to startups. These niche creators bring authenticity and loyal audiences, making them invaluable for legacy brands looking to stay relevant and grow.
💸 Micro-Influencers and Mega-Celebs Will Make the Most $$$
Smart brands know that only micro-influencers with cult-like communities and mega-celebrities with massive reach can drive real sales. Everyone in between will struggle to secure deals and deliver real value to brands.
Companies who want to maximize sales and trust when organizing influencer campaigns will turn to platforms like Popular Pays, which make organizing campaigns with the right influencers—who actually deliver ROI—as simple as a few clicks. They even have a new Safe Collab feature, which makes vetting influencers easier than ever.*

🚺 VCs Risk Falling Behind With the Shift to Female-Centric Markets
The "white male college dropout" archetype still dominates VC decision-making, but this approach ignores a huge shift. Women are starting businesses at record rates, drawn to the lifestyle flexibility and higher earnings of entrepreneurship compared to traditional jobs.
With women already driving 80% of consumer spending and now expanding their influence into business spending, their impact on markets is greater than ever. The old patterns of investing no longer fit this new reality, and VCs who fail to adapt will soon be left behind.
