I got invited to speak at Harvard Business School

My parents dream for me was always to get an MBA.

I chose a different path.

Last weekend that path led me to teach a class at Harvard Business School.

I was speaking in the same room that has welcomed speakers from Kim Kardashian and Reese Witherspoon to Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. When students heard I was coming to campus, the schedule filled quickly. What started as one session became three speaking slots in 48 hours, along with a visit to one of the most respected hacker houses in the country. It all happened faster than I could process, but the idea of speaking at Harvard Business School had been quietly sitting on my vision board for three years.

The most common question I get is, “How did you make this happen?” The truth is, it didn’t come from cold emailing the school, chasing a pedigree degree, waiting until I felt qualified, or rehearsing for weeks in advance.

It came from showing up every single day long before there was any stage attached to it: making thousands of videos so that when I walked onto campus, students already recognized me and stopped me to talk. It came from quitting my job when I had no plan, pivoting my company 4+ times, building for years despite $0 in the bank, choosing consistency over comfort and visibility over invisibility.

And the most ironic part is that after stepping into what many people consider one of the highest honor rooms in business, nothing about my daily work changes.

Today, you will still find me in my room filming content, taking calls, building, pitching, refining ideas, learning and starting over when necessary.

Harvard Business School was not the finish line. It was proof that consistency compounds. The real growth happens long before the stage, in the quiet days when no one is watching.
