Kimberly G. | Full Stack Software Engineer @ WellSaid Labs

In her junior year of high school, Kimberly got to work in a bacteriology lab through a program at her school. At first, she thought she wanted to be a biologist. But after she started college, she quickly realized that it wasn't what she wanted. During the pandemic, she attended a coding bootcamp. Finding a job was tough, and she had to apply to over 300 companies before a startup decided to give her a shot. She then decided to return to college to complete her degree. Now, she's teaching herself AI and Machine Learning, and thinking about starting her own business. Kimberly's journey shows that reaching a goal isn't the end. It's important to keep checking if what you're doing matches up with what you want in life. If it doesn't, don't be afraid to change things.

Linda G. | Automation Tools & Development Intern @ NVIDIA

Meet Linda, who's currently a developer for NVIDIA, working on GeForce NOW, a cloud-based gaming service. Her passion for computer science sparked in middle school with a robotics program, and she hasn't looked back since. Fortunate enough to attend Google's Computer Science Summer Institute in 2019 and their Software Product Sprint program in 2021, she's also a regular at networking events and hackathons. When a recruiter from NVIDIA slid into her LinkedIn DMs about their inaugural IGNITE internship, she jumped at the chance and landed it. Now she's on her third internship with them. Linda's top tip? Seize every opportunity. She hustled hard to get on NVIDIA's radar. So get out there, meet people, learn from their journey, and carve out your unique path.
